Elective subject for science stream

Each elective subject carrying a maximum of 200 marks i.e 100 marks for 1st year and 100 marks for 2nd  yaer and 100 marks for 2nd year.
Physics – 1st  Elective
Chemistry  - 2 nd Elective
Mathematics/Biolog (can be opted for both 3 rd and 4 th  Elective Subject) (One in each case).
Information Technology (can be opted as 4 th Elective subject only (64 Seats)

+3 Course Structure
128 Seats (Utkal University)
                The three years Degree course leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Arts of Utkal  University  shall be spread over a period of three academic years. A candidate for the Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Shall be required to pass the following  Degree in Arts shall be required to pass the following examination :
First University Examination.
Second university Examination.
Final University Examination.

A candidate  having Hons. Shall choose ane elective subject having two papers each carrying 200 marks (without any practical component) from among the following subjects in 1 st year and another elective subject having two papers carrying 200 marks in 3 rd year. A pass student shall have to choose one elective subject having two papers carrying 200 marks one paper in 1 st year and another paper in 2 nd year. Further, a pass student shall have to choose another Elective subject having 2 papers carrying  200 marks in 3 rd year.

Pass Subject :  History, Odia/Sanskrit, Home Science, Sociology, Political Science, Economics.

A candidate in +3 Sci. (Pass) shall choose two Pass Subjects each Carrying 400 marks besides compulsory and elective paper. Subject with practical shall have 25% practical and 75% theory. There shall be two elective, one major carrying 200 marks with two papers of 100 marks each and one Minor carrying 100 marks.
